Blackpool Fact File
In 1602 there was a mention of the Christianry of a child of a couple living on the bank of the 'Black Pool'.
The initial church was built at Marton in 1800 and the present church built in 1909.
The consecration of Blackpool's St. John's Church took place in 1821.
Holy Trinity Church was erected in 1836 on the South Shore.
The United Methodist Church in Adelaide Street was built in 1864.
